Do you like my story?
Here’s part of my story!
I picked up a tiny piece of beach glass, that was my favorite color blue. The edges were rounded, not sharp, it was a little shiny if you put it beneath the sun light.

I was always happy when I was walking on MY secret beach, not any other beach, my beach. I always stood at the edge of the beach where the salty ocean water would come up and wisk away some sand. My mother would never ever let me go to the beach, or my beach, I would never obey my mother’s rules.

Every day at 5 o’clock after school I would go down to my beach for a little while. I woud just stand on the beach taking in the salty sea air. It was a minute or so from our house which was a very good thing.

My beach has pure white sand, unlike the other beaches. My beach was special. I never have told any one about my beach, not even my grandma Ruth, or my grandma Helen. Even though they were my best friends. I haven’t even told my BFF Vega yet. I know it’s breaking mom’s rules but still.
1. Don’t go anywhere with out my permshion.
2. Never go into the study or my studio.
3. DO NOT touch the pastries.
4. DO NOT flirt with boys.
5. DO NOT PLAY MATCH MAKER.
6. Do not go to the beach, they’re not sanitary.
The list goes on and on, but those are the most important ones. Those are the rules that are so important, that if you break one my mom will freak out. That’s why my beach is secret.I went to stand on the giant rock that over looks the tide pools, that have the purple starfish and sea urchins in them. I stood on the rock peering down into the tide pool. My life was pretty good.
My mother (Maria Markson) was young when she got married (she was 27), when she had me she was 30, when my dad died she was 32. Now she’s 43, not that old, really not that old! My mother and father started there own business in Williamsburg, VA called Royal Treats, it’s a bakery. My mother loved my father so much that she made there wedding so beautiful that it got featured in a magazine! Everyone was talking about it. Three years later she had me! Dorothy Jennifer Markson, that’s me! Two years passed and my father was out getting baby food (for me!) and he was coming home(it was dark out) and he all of a sudden dissappeared off the face of the Earth. That’s what Susie Bee says, she saw what happened. He was just driving, Susie Bee blinked and POOF David John Markson vanished. After my mom, and grandma Helen (dad’s mom) found out they cryed together for five days straight, or so my grandma Ruth (mom’s mom) says.

Ruth (grandma Ruth) is very cool and strange. She dies her shiny gray hair orange or blonde depending on her mood that day. When we go somewhere together, people would often stare and sometimes point. She stands out in crowds because of how tall she is (5 foot 4 inches) and her hair color.

Ruth and Helen (my other grandma) live right down the road from us. I can visit them when ever I want. They work at the shop (my mom’s shop, Royal Treats) and so do I, we see each other every day.

My mom and I live in a small Cape Cod style house just a minute away from the James River’s shore. That’s where my secret beach is.

I like your story very much. I think you may have used the word beach too often. You should print out your story and read through it and highlight every single word beach. Sometimes when you said beach you could have used other terms. For example "I stood on my beach…" Change it too something like "I stood at the edge of the water, my toes squishing in the sand..etc" something like that. A beach is a beautiful place that you could use a lot of description with. I would suggest maybe googling images of beaches. Or if you live near one go down there with a pen and paper and write. Also, don’t forget about all the elements when you are describing the beach. (the sand, the sky, the clouds, the wind, the sun, the suns rays, etc.) You have a great story idea. Good luck :) I hope I helped! Feel free to email me if you have any other questions :)

Does this girl sound beautiful?
The phrase "words cannot describe" applies to this girl (to me). I know she is beautiful, but i want another person’s opinion.

hmm, where to start? She’s a bit taller than a normal girl. She is very athletic, so she has like no fat, but she is no where near anorexic by any means! and she has very long legs! Her eyes are a dark brown/ auburn mix. Very unique and beautiful eyes. She has straight, long, black hair. She also has a few freckles on her face and she has pale-ish skin. She looks strangely familiar to Violet, from the incredibles. Just real.

By no means am i judging this girl off of what answers i get, but i just want other people’s opinions on this.

I’m a girl, but I think she sounds really pretty.
I’m fair skinned too!
I love fair skin. Mixed with black hair is always gorgeous!

People just like to annoy others. I don’t think it really has anything at all to do with race. It has a whole lot to do with annoying people. At least as far as Chicken Bucket are concerned.

Devil in a Blue Dress (1995)

IMDB rating: 6.50

Plot: It is 1948 in LA and Ezikeal “Easy” Rawlins, an African-American World War II veteran, is looking for work. At his friend’s bar, he is introduced to a white man, DeWitt Albright, who is looking for someone to help him find a missing white woman assumed to be hiding somewhere in LA’s Black community. This woman, Daphane Monet, happens to be the fiancee of a wealthy “blue blood,” Todd Carter, who is currently the favorite in the city’s mayoralty race. Daphane Monet is known to frequent the Black jazz clubs in LA. Easy, innocently, accepts Albright’s offer; however, he quickly finds himself amidst murder, crooked cops, ruthless politicians, and brutalizing hoodlums. This is a Chandler-esque “who-done-it” with an African-American theme.

What American rock bands from the 60's made these songs a hit?
One band (which includes duos) per clue

Spelling counts.

1. "Devil With A Blue Dress On"
2. "The Beat Goes On "
3. "Kicks"
>> Not the Hollies.
Not the Whispers. Actually I’ve never heard of them. Also, the title of the first band is incomplete….there are more words.

1 Mitch Ryder & the Detroit Wheels
2 Sonny and Cher
3 Paul Revere & the Raiders

Is Sachin unfairly criticised?
Sachin is criticised for his lack of triple hundred’s (his highest Test score is 248*). Yet the other great batsmen of this time: Ponting, Dravid, Kallis, Smith, have not achieved this milestone either. Indeed, Kallis doesn’t even have a double hundred.

Are the performances more important than the size of the score?. Does size matter lol? In short, does a batsman HAVE to score a triple hundred to be truly classified as great?

Well I do feel Sachin is unfairly criticized on that issue we all know how good he is and the other batsman you have referred to are as well. Although it is very disappointing that these great players have not got their head down and achieved that milestone and I would say getting a 300 in an innings is the ultimate achievement for any batsman in an innings and it shows they have put their great talent into motion in the heat of a test match.

No they do not have to score a triple hundred to be classed as legend it is just one of the many ticks in a checklist but it is a very big tick
Bling | Nov 21, 2009

Honestly , I havent seen Sachin of for that matter any batsmen just because they dont have a triple ton . And if he is , Its nonsense .

Sachin is one of the modern batting greats Along with Lara ………… and inspite of thier good records Ponting , dravid , kallis , smith etc arent comparable even if Ponting ends up with more test runs than sachin ( which I am sure he will do since India play only couple of tests every year ).

Although technically I love Dravid ( more than sachin ) and Kallis , when there’s movement on the pitch you can depend on these two .

Anyway not many players in the history have scored 300 and more than capability it depends on match situation for ex he could have score 300 in the match he was 248* but India had to declare to push for a win which is always more important .

So really , it doesnt matter triple ton or not .
Shawn M | Nov 21, 2009

could be that these players despite being all time greats lack the qualities required to play a gigantic innings,to last that long in a Test and get runs as well while at it,like Lara,Sehwag,Bradman,..
does a batsman HAVE to score a triple hundred to be truly classified as great? no

Would you please correct my English?
I am a beginner of English. Would you tell me the real English by the native English speakers?
The vacation on the end of the year and the New Year is coming soon. It will be for a week, where will I go and what will I do? I have a staying in a hotel with my wife in the vacation every year. Actually, we would like to go abroad and relax ourselves for four or five days. but we can’t do that since we have a young daughter and a dog. At last vacation, we stayed at a hotel in downtown a day and ate delicious dishes, soaked into a spa and took a massage. Cheaper and closer are best since the economy is not good.
Thanks all, I chose the faster answer as the best since all of you are excellent.

The end of the year and New Year’s vacation is coming soon. It will last a week. What will I do? Where will I go? I usually stay in a hotel with my wife during New Year’s vacation every year. We would like to go abroad for four or five days and relax this year, but because we have a young daughter and a dog, we won’t be able to do that. During our last vacaction, we stayed overnight at a hotel downtown and enjoyed delicious food, soaked in a spa, and had a massage. This year, since the economy is bad, we think that staying closer to home and enjoying something less expensive is the best idea.

The vacation at the end of the year is coming with the New Year. The vacation will be one week long. Where will I go and what will I do? I have a reservation at a hotel with my wife during this vacation every year. We’d prefer to go abroad and enjoy a relaxing getaway for four or five days, but we have a young daughter and a dog. Last year, we stayed at a hotel in downtown (Downtown where? What city were you in? You want to say "in downtown ____") for a day and ate delicious food. After that, we enjoyed pampering at a spa. Hopefully we can find somewhere closer and cheaper due to the bad economy.

Full Grown Men
Full Grown Men (2006)

IMDB rating: 7.00

Plot: Alby Cutrera (Matt McGrath) yearns for a time when life was carefree and action figures were twelve inches tall. When his wife insults him for being more of a playmate than a father to his young son, Alby heads for safety and tracks down his boyhood pal Elias (Judah Friedlander) whose memory of their younger days is considerably less rosy. They set out on a road trip to Diggityland, their favorite place as kids, but simpler times turn complicated as the two friends confront the land mines of their past. Journeying through the Oz of Central Florida, they encounter a cast of wounded roadside romantics - a disgruntled ex-theme park employee (Alan Cumming), a horny bartending clown (Amy Sedaris), and a delusional mermaid (Deborah Harry) - each one shedding light on the perils of not letting go. Full Grown Men is the bittersweet tale of a man who learns the hard way that the best years of his life may still lie ahead of him.

Am I a sicko, pervert……………..?
I am a divorced man of 52, when my wife left, I kept the kids full time, but they are grown and married now. Daughter 25 and son 28. They both visit often and live close to me, and they like to have parties at my house, (larger house, big yard and deck, pool table, keg cooler, etc).

Anyway, they have tons of friends, and some are very HOT friends, and they dress to the tens. Well my question is, am I a pervert by looking at them in more of the way I would look at girls in Playboy and Maxim? Remember, they are all between about 22 to 30 something years old.

I have never done anything, and never would, but is just thinking that a bad thing?

No…. your just a man

Lucy | Nov 21, 2009

No, I don’t think you’re a sicko!

It is perfectly natural to be attracted to woman that age. They are in their prime and are having fun! Just because you’re over 50, doesn’t mean you’re dead! Men look, and so do women!! To me, it reinforces how healthy you are!!!

And the fact that you’re so worried about it makes it even more ok!
Just me | Nov 21, 2009

there is nothing wrong with that. it is natural. we are genetically wired to want to reproduce with young, healthy women. I think if you didn’t look at them like that, then you would have something wrong with you.

No, I don’t think you’re a pervert… just a Troll. I am incapable of believing a 52 year old man would ever say things like Anyway… or ‘tons of friends’. lol My favorite was when you wrote HOT!

I don’t think you’re a pervert … as long as these people aren’t under age, it’s nobody’s business but your own!

nothing wrong with imagination, however you are out of place at that party, best to keep to yourself as much as possible, it is your place, but stay out of sight if possible, not your age group

YES IT IS YOU ARE 52M AND THEY ARE 22 TO 30!!!!!!!!!!
mae mae | Nov 21, 2009

No. You are just a man. Your only 52 not dead.

I agree with Platinum - you sound like a TROLLING Teenager!
IslandArtiste | Nov 21, 2009

don’t think of that, everything begins with a thought, then you eventually act, and that is going to offend someone. They are not there for you, they are there to use your yard, etc.
you really need to get a life if you’e hanging around picturing them like playboy. i can just see you w/ your hairy belly and shorts on, socks and sandals ”hey who wants another hamburger!’
go do something half century man. ever see that cartoon?
i know you think you will score one and hang around the younger crowd, not too embarrasing for your kids. it’s either that or a new motorcycle.

Return of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre, The (1994)

IMDB rating: 2.60

Plot: A group of prom-going teens take a fatal detour into the Texas woods and get into an accidental car crash. Stranded with no place to go, they seek help in Darla, a seemingly innocent insurance agent whose office is located near by. After Darla calls for help, they set out back to the scene of the crash, and are found and terrorized by Leatherface, his crazy brother, Vilmer, and are taken to an old farmhouse where they meet the rest of the cannibalistic clan.
