I would like to preface this by saying, please do not turn this into a joke.?
I do not have "antisocial personality disorder" as one answerer suggested, nor is it appropriate to tell me I’m going to Rikers. Just reading the word made my heart skip a beat. Jail is horrible and it’s scary, and it changes people. That’s why I’m up posting this on Yahoo Answers when I should be asleep. The crimes I committed I committed because I had been going through hard times, drinking a lot, whatever, it’s really my business. All of my arrests sound really dumb, I know, and that’s because they were, but I’m putting them out here because I’m scared and I want answers. I thought maybe there might be a law student or someone who could help. I can’t sleep because I’m afraid I’m going to end up in Jail or doing community service around Christmas time. I was arrested for hopping a turn style in New York City. I was searched and they found a baggie of weed on me. THE MACHINE WAS BROKEN AND NOT ACCEPTING BILLS. The weed, also, was not mine, but of course no cop in the world would ever believe that, not even I would.
That leaves me with a "theft of services" charge, and a "possession of marijuana" charge. In the past I was arrested for "making graffiti, possession of a graffiti instrument, and "criminal mischief", all on the same night and for the same crime -drawing on a pole with a marker. When I was 18 I got arrested in the subway for being on the tracks. Again, stupid, I know. I was very fucked up and very young. For these most recent charges I was served with three days community service. The city appointed lawyer refuted that sentence, said something I couldn’t understand, and instead i was told to return later the next month. That’s when my lawyer said to me "come back and they’ll throw it out." This seems strange, to give me a court date just to have something thrown out. I’ve messed up a lot in the past couple of years, and this was the straw on the camels back. People get caught in the system and now I can see how and why. Any way my question is THIS: Will my case be thrown out? If not, what is the likely sentencing? Thank you in advance for reading this.

Lawyers got more experience than anyone, plus they have a relationship with other lawyers, District attorneys and Judges. They know when you case has not foundation or it can be thrown out because of a technicality. In many cases, lawyers work with D.A. to maintain their conviction average rate and look better in the future to run for public office.
Needless to say, you case will get thrown out. The real reason, only you lawyer knows and he won’t tell you…Take this opportunity as a sign to turn your life around.

Okay. Seriously. WTF were you thinking?? You have stuff on you that can get you in trouble. It doesn’t matter if it’s yours or not. It’s on YOU. Then you do something that’s illegal. It doesn’t matter if the turnstile isn’t working. All you can do is report it and wait for the refund. Being young isn’t an excuse. You can only say that for so long. And then this happens and you are an adult and the courts aren’t going to want to hear that.
You have to grow up. Now. Being under 18 and being treated as a youth ends the day you turn 18. Then you start being treated like an adult. As an adult, you will be held responsible for what you do. This seems to be a lesson that you are learning the hard way. Make it easy on yourself and try to learn to think about what you do and how it affects you.
People go to jail everyday for things they got away with before they were 18. And everyone in jail is innocent. There are very few people there who will say they did something wrong. Don’t be one of them. If you make an effort to mature, let your lawyer know. Tell him what you’re telling us here. Hopefully if he’s good, he can convince the judge of your good intentions and you might get a second chance. Realize that the only reason you are in front of that judge in that situation is because of your own actions. Then if you are lucky enough to get a second chance, make the most of it.
I have seen the tombs. I have had to go there on business. It’s an awful place full of the worst people. I’ve seen very tough guys crack and cry when they get there. Heck even I didn’t want to be there and I was there on business. Try to learn from this and move forward. Life is tough right now, but it will get better. You owe it to yourself to get on the right track.
If you don’t, the only person you’ll be letting down is yourself. Good luck, I really hope you make it.

I wouldn’t continue too far down this path, you are laying yourself open to charges of possession with intent to supply or transportation of a banned substance on public transport.
You need a lawyer, fast.

Even if the pot wasn’t yours, you were in possession of it, hence, the possession charge. Never-the-less, all of your crimes are petty and jail time is not indicated for any of them. It’s possible that the lawyer could have the theft of services charge thrown out by arguing that the token machine was defective and you attempted to pay. It’s impossible to say without knowing what the lawyer has planned. Most likely, you’re looking at more fines and more community service. It’s nothing to lose sleep over. What you should be doing is focusing on getting yourself back on track. This is all petty stuff and you should be embarrassed that you keep getting busted over stupid crap. Work on your impulse control and making better judgment calls.

Most likely no. You may not go to jail though, although from your words here, that may be the best motivator for you. I wouldn’t keep you in there long though, maybe a week to give you a taste.
This is what you have to do, its real simple. Stop hanging out with your "friends". I got in trouble for drugs once, this was the only way to get away from it.
I know you care about these people but they are causing you to put yourself in situations that get you in trouble. It will be hard, but you will have to break ties with them and never be friends with anyone who does illegal things again–this is called growing up.
